Stopping in to say "Hi"

Thought we would stop by and tell you HOW GREAT we feel!..
We have even gotten some comments of how good we look and what we eat.
All in all we love this new diet and Mom even says its a piece of cake now to prepare.
This is how we typically look every morning and every evening waiting while Mom mixes up our dish of food!

Mom went on Vacation

Only for four days, but she decided to let us eat kibble during that time..MAN oh MAN our poo was huge again and stinky!..When we got home we could not wait to go back to our raw meals. We waited anxiously for that first taste again!..

Camping and Raw Feeding

We went camping for three days. Now mind you this was in a trailer house with full hook ups, so I had a fridge!..I took my Raw for the boys that I had in individual daily feedings and placed them in the freezer - this took up the entire freezer in the trailer!..BUT, it was easy - just pull out a meal the day before and place it in the fridge.
Really I like this method more than kibble and the boys free fed on kibble and I had bowls out you had to get around in the trailer. This way, they eat and I pick up and clean. No bowls laying around to get over.
They tried a bite of crab and not to sure about it as this is fine. I would think that the crab meat would be pretty rich for them.
I've started adding a bit of natural yogurt to their diet as well - a little treat!

Starting to see changes!

The most noticable is their poo is now white and much less in amount!..This is a good thing according to our son who is the clean up crew in our family!..
Also this morning Doc showed signs of less itching and the shedding is starting to taper off.

The boys have TONS of energy and are enjoying each meal.

Fixing Meals

I went to the store today and purchased several packages of Liver, heart, chicken gizzards, pigs tongues, and pigs feet at a cost of around 11.00. I added a package of beef steaks, a whole chicken, a green ling cod(white fish). and about half the bag of dehydrated veggies(around 15.00.)
In less than two hours my son and I had 20 days worth of meals prepared, labeled, packaged and in the freezer in about two hours.

THIRD Day

Again the boys slept until 7:38!..Both woke full of energy and Doc patiently waited in the kitchen for his next meal!.
This morning I'm going to try my own "slop" mix of elk cut up, re-hydrated veggies, bone meal and wild salmon oil.
At first the boys took a taste and then tried a taste from each others bowl just in case they like their brothers meal better!..I had to hand feed a couple of bites and that was it..They licked the bowls clean.
I have noticed a significant amount of shedding starting last night. I think typical in any diet change. Doc is still itchy, but we hope to see changes soon.
I will be going to the local market today to look for chicken necks, small fish and organ meat which are all highly recommended so that they can have a mix of different proteins.
